Reporting to the C.O.O., you’ll have overall responsibility to develop and execute Spec’s Marketing, New Product Development, and Sales strategies, and to achieve objectives guided by the leadership values of the Company.  Through collaboration, you’ll help to drive the Spec Team to deliver total customer commitment and satisfaction.  
What you bring to the table:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Management, or a related field
Industry experience within and understanding of the contract furniture market and a flair for brand management and strategic marketing
Strong background in sales and customer communication including relationship building
Demonstrated success in product development
A creative thinker with a strong, practical business sense, capable of igniting out-of-the-box thinking

Spec Furniture Inc. is currently searching for a Logistics Specialist.  You’ll have overall responsibility to continually improve our logistics efficiency and customs’ compliance and by doing so, effectively control our supply chain costs without adversely affecting customer service. The Logistics Specialist is committed to assuring total customer commitment and satisfaction.  This position is accountable to the Director of Manufacturing for the following key outcomes:
Negotiate and manage logistics (LTL, TL, parcel, courier) and brokerage term contracts and vendors for the best possible pricing;
Establish and implement effective logistics solutions to meet customer and supplier needs, including but not limited to direct or dedicated shipments, full-load organization and special delivery requirements;
Create, implement and analyze performance measurements (delivery performance, quality, freight, duty and brokerage costs); Propose necessary changes/improvements to processes.
What you bring to the table:
Degree or Certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics or Customs-related studies, or equivalent practical experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in supply chain logistics preferably in a manufacturing facility with revenues in excess of $50 million
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) coupled with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills; must be able to effectively and consistently contribute to team performance
Strong business acumen; highly organized, analytical, creative, and decisive
Able to work both independently and within a team in high pressure situations and with a sense of urgency
