The Behavioral Health market in the US is forecasted to continue its upward trajectory over the next decade, with estimates of a market value worth 132.4 billion by 20271. This growth indicates an increasing need for more mental health services and a need for easier access to care. In 2020, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) reported that 41.4 million adults in the US aged 18 or older received inpatient or outpatient services for mental health issues2, 16% of the entire US adult population. With increasing demand and awareness, the facilities where patients seek counseling and treatment are constantly re-evaluating their care models to ensure optimal intake, and patient safety is at the forefront of Behavioral Health Design.
